MOWGLI (Primebengal Mowgli)

Mowgli takes his name from The Jungle Book, inspired by his dark, panther-like appearance and the story's black panther, Bagheera.
He is a TICA registered melanistic (solid) brown Bengal, with rich gold eyes and a beautifully glossy, glittered coat. His spotted pattern is largely concealed beneath his dark, solid colouring, appearing only when the light catches his coat.
His pedigree begins with LeoPaws4Bengals Amour × Primebengal Bella, with international Bengal lines extending throughout his five generations.
Mowgli was chosen as one of our foundation Bengal sires for both his genetics and the opportunity to work with the melanistic trait, producing some of the darkest kittens within our programme.
Despite his impressive appearance, Mowgli is an incredibly sweet-natured and affectionate boy. He can initially be a little shy and likes to take his time with new people, but once he trusts you, he is enormously loving — particularly if belly rubs are involved. He is gentle, inquisitive and a lovely example of the softer personality that can sit behind the Bengal's wild exterior.

PANTHERA (Furreverbuddys Panthera Borealis)

Panthera's name was chosen to reflect both his appearance and his importance within our Bengal programme. Panthera is the scientific genus encompassing the great cats — including lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars and snow leopards — while Borealis, meaning ‘of the north’, reflects his pale, snow-leopard-like coat and cool northern presence.
Panthera is a TICA registered silver snow mink Bengal, with aqua eyes and a beautifully defined rosetted coat. He carries Cashmere (longhair), blue (dilute) and solid, alongside glitter, making him an incredibly versatile sire for the future of our programme.
His pedigree combines international lines through his sire, Ice Cream Mauben Town, with established Fureverbuddys lines through his dam, Fureverbuddys La Vida Loca.
Paired with genetically compatible queens, Panthera gives us the potential to produce across the full spectrum of Bengal colours and patterns represented within our programme. His genetics allow us to develop our more specialist Cashmere, blue, charcoal and solid lines, while continuing to produce the traditional short-haired coats, colours and spotted/rosetted patterns associated with the Bengal. This versatility was a major part of what I was looking for in a stud and makes Panthera an important foundation boy for the future direction of Born Wild.
Panthera was a boy we spent considerable time searching for, chosen not only for his genetics but for his substantial build, impressive stature and Bengal type.
His personality is every bit as big as his presence. Panthera is confident, outgoing and people-orientated, loves exploring and particularly enjoys running around the garden on a long line. Once he's finished adventuring, he's equally happy rolling over for belly rubs.

QUEENS
ASHYA (Sirocco Ashya Veil)

Miyuki, affectionately known as Yuki, was a name I chose to reflect her soft, snowy colouring, meaning ‘beautiful snow’ in Japanese.
She is a TICA registered silver snow mink Bengal, with aqua eyes, glitter and beautifully flowing mink rosettes across her coat. She carries charcoal and comes from lines selected for both snow and silver genetics.
Yuki is the daughter of Dokocats Polaris of Fureverbuddys × Fureverbuddys Leviathan and shares her pedigree with her littermate, Himalaya. Their ancestry incorporates Silverstorm bloodlines, an award-winning cattery particularly known for its Silver Bengals. Having quality silver genetics running through their pedigree was an important part of what drew me to the sisters and something I was particularly keen to introduce into Born Wild alongside our snow and charcoal lines.
Yuki is an incredibly sweet-natured and affectionate girl, although personal space isn't really something she believes in. She has a particular love of climbing and regularly jumps straight onto my back when I enter the room.
She has also proven herself to be a wonderfully attentive and loving mother, showing the same gentle nature with her kittens that she does with us.

AMARA (Towanreef Amara Cascade)

Amara is a particularly special girl within our programme. When I decided I wanted to introduce Cashmere Bengals into Born Wild, finding the right foundation girl proved far from easy. Towan Reef Cashmeres in Scotland was the only UK breeder I could find producing Cashmeres for breeding, and after a considerable wait, Amara was the girl who finally allowed me to begin developing our own Cashmere lines.
Her name draws on African language origins: Amara, associated with grace, and Mara, meaning spotted in Maa, reflecting her elegance and wild markings. Cascade was chosen for her long, flowing coat, completing a name that feels particularly fitting for her appearance.
Amara is a TICA registered Longhair (Cashmere) Bengal with a glittered brown spotted coat, brown eyes and the long, flowing fur that makes the Cashmere variety so distinctive. Her Wisdom Panel confirms two copies of the tested FGF5 M4 longhair variant, as well as one copy of the Siamese colourpoint variant associated with Snow Lynx. Her five-generation pedigree is rooted in Towanreef's established Cashmere lines: she is the daughter of Towanreef Lethal Weapon and Towanreef Electric Dreams, with Bengal Longhairs appearing repeatedly throughout her ancestry.
Her arrival was an important milestone for Born Wild, allowing us to begin working with the long-haired Bengal variety I had long-admired and become part of the small community of UK breeders developing Cashmere lines.
Amara is an incredibly sweet, gentle and affectionate girl who loves curling up for cuddles. Elegant most of the time, that disappears completely when the zoomies arrive — she has a hilarious habit of bouncing her way around the room, making her every bit as entertaining as she is affectionate.

Ashya travelled from Sirocco Bengals & Cashmeres in Poland to join Born Wild following a particularly long search for the right genetics to develop our Cashmere programme further. After introducing Cashmere through Amara, the next challenge was finding a girl who could bring genetics for other patterns into our Cashmere lines — a combination that proved incredibly difficult to source. I eventually found Ashya, carrying the longhair gene. alongside charcoal, dilute, and snow genetics, making her exactly the kind of girl I had been searching for.
Her name tells a little of that story. ‘Ash’ reflects her dark charcoal colouring, while Asha, associated with hope, wish or desire, was a nod to my ambition of eventually producing patterned Cashmere Bengals. Veil represents the longhair genetics hidden beneath her short coat.
Ashya is a TICA registered charcoal brown spotted Bengal, with a glittered coat and green-toned eyes. She has particularly lovely facial structure and muzzle shape, alongside the distinctive dark mask and cape associated with charcoal Bengals. Her DNA results identify two copies of the Bengal-associated APb variant, alongside single copies of dilute, Burmese colourpoint and the FGF5 M4 longhair variant. These carefully sought-after genetics make her particularly valuable to the future development of our charcoal and blue Cashmere lines.
She is a sweet, affectionate and gentle girl, with a particular fascination for water. A running tap or fountain can keep her entertained for a long time as she paws, plays and investigates the moving water.

TAIGA (Furreverbuddys Taiga)

Taiga takes her name from the vast northern coniferous biome, a landscape inhabited by wildlife including the critically endangered Amur leopard. It felt particularly fitting for a girl whose appearance carries its own little echo of the wild.
She is a TICA registered glittered brown spotted Bengal carrying snow, with green-hazel eyes, a beautifully rosetted coat, refined facial structure and a tall, elegant physique.
Taiga was a girl I searched hard for, wanting to find the right combination of quality, type, temperament and pedigree to bring into Born Wild. She introduces Wowbengals bloodlines from the Netherlands into our programme through her father, Wowbengals Dizzy Rascal. Her paternal grandmother is Wowbengals About a Girl, with Wowbengals The Best Or Nothing appearing another generation behind, while her maternal side brings further international Bengal lines. She was well worth the search and is exactly the quality of girl I had hoped to find.
She is a sweet and affectionate girl with an endlessly inquisitive nature. Taiga loves investigating whatever is happening around her and combines that Bengal curiosity with a particularly gentle temperament — making her as lovely to live with as she is to look at.

HIMALAYA ‘LAYA’ (Furreverbuddys Himalaya)

Himalaya, known simply as Laya, means ‘abode of snow’ — a reference to the vast, snow-covered mountains inhabited by snow leopards in the wild, and a fitting reflection of her silver colouring. Laya also echoes Layla, meaning ‘dark beauty’, perfectly capturing the distinctive charcoal cape and mask that contrast against her silver coat.
Littermate to Miyuki, Laya is a TICA registered charcoal silver Bengal, with green-toned eyes, glitter, beautifully dark rosettes and a particularly strong Bengal facial structure and type. She also carries snow.
Like Yuki, she is the daughter of Dokocats Polaris of Fureverbuddys × Fureverbuddys Leviathan, with Silverstorm Bengals appearing prominently through her ancestry, alongside Bengaluxe, Dokocats, Leominipard, Bengallegacy and other established lines.
Laya is confident, self-assured and very much the boss of the girls. She knows exactly what she wants, keeps the rest of the tribe in order and seeks affection firmly on her own terms. Her confidence and independence give her a presence all of her own — you don't need to wonder who's in charge when Laya walks into the room.

Saphira's name is derived from sapphire, the blue gemstone, chosen as a direct reflection of her unique colouring. She is a TICA registered blue Bengal with green eyes and a melanistic appearance, carrying glitter. Although she can appear almost solid blue at first glance, her underlying pattern becomes visible as the light catches her coat.
Her pedigree is particularly important to our blue Bengal lines, with multiple generations of blue Bengals running throughout her pedigree. Her father, Silversnowstar Hannibal of Kamauri, is a blue spotted Bengal, as are both of his parents, Maksimus of Silversnowstar and Bagira Danger of Silversnowstar, giving Saphira an established line of blue Bengals through her paternal side. Blue genetics also appear through her maternal pedigree. This multi-generational concentration of blue Bengals was an important part of why I chose Saphira for Born Wild and makes her particularly valuable to the development of our own blue lines.
Saphira is confident, sassy and endlessly inquisitive. She is invariably first in line whenever something new appears — whether that's a toy, enrichment activity, whole-prey, or person — very little happens at Born Wild without Saphira needing to investigate it first.

SARABI (Amare Sarabi Plains)
F3 Savannah | 16% Serval | TICA Registered
Sarabi marks the beginning of an entirely new chapter for Born Wild as our first early-generation Savannah.
She joined us from Amare Savannahs and is a TICA registered F3 (third-generation) Savannah with 16% Serval ancestry, reflected in her Wisdom Panel DNA results. She has a striking brown spotted coat, long legs and athletic build, with beautifully hooded green eyes and distinctive ocelli on the backs of her ears. Together, these features give her the unmistakably wild expression characteristic of her early-generation heritage. She also carries charcoal.
Her pedigree brings together established Savannah lines including SavannahTemple, Savvypaws, Truesavannahs and Bulgari, with titled cats also appearing within her family tree.
Sarabi was specifically chosen with the future of our Savannah programme in mind. My aim is to develop our own early-generation Savannah breeding lines, something still relatively uncommon within the UK, with careful consideration given to health, temperament, type and the distinctive characteristics of the breed. Her arrival marks the first step towards establishing Born Wild as one of a small number of UK breeding programmes working with early-generation Savannahs, alongside our established Bengal programme.
Her name felt particularly fitting. Sarabi was chosen for its associations with grace, beauty and quiet strength, as well as being the name of Simba's mother in The Lion King. Plains completes the name with a nod to the African landscapes and wild ancestry that first drew me to the Savannah.
Personality-wise, Sarabi is confident, captivating and incredibly athletic — essentially our resident gymnast. If there is something to climb, she will find it, and if there is somewhere higher to reach, she will work out how to get there. She approaches her surroundings with an intelligence and curiosity that make living with her endlessly interesting.
For me, Sarabi represents everything that first fascinated me about the Savannah: the unmistakable influence of a wild ancestor combined with the relationship and companionship of a cat who chooses to make you part of her world.

LYRA (Beautifuldreams Lyra)

Lyra joined our tribe purely as a much-loved pet after years of fascination with the Maine Coon breed. The moment I saw a photograph of her sweet kitten face and unusual colouring, I knew I couldn't say no.
Her name comes from Lyra in His Dark Materials, while also carrying the celestial associations of the Lyra constellation. I chose it for its sense of magic and mythology — something that seemed to perfectly capture the almost ethereal presence she had even as a kitten.
Lyra is a TICA registered, long-haired blue smoke tortie (Wisdom Panel pending) Maine Coon, with green eyes and distinctive split blue and cream facial markings. Her huge, sweeping tail and long, flowing coat give her an incredibly elegant presence.
Despite her impressive size, Lyra is the definition of a gentle giant — incredibly sweet, affectionate and a proper lap cat who loves nothing more than curling up with people. Turn your back, and she will proudly parade any dish sponge that she can get ahold of around the house as though she has personally hunted and captured it.
Equal parts elegance and eccentricity, Lyra has a wonderfully peculiar personality that makes her completely her own.

MILA

Mila is the girl who started my love affair with Bengals. Her name means ‘new love’, chosen to represent my newfound love for a breed that combines the wild appearance and elegance of bigs cats with genuine wild ancestry.
Mila is a Snow Lynx Bengal mixed-breed, carrying glitter, with a pure white spotted coat and rich blue eyes. Her pale colouring gives her a soft, snow-leopard-like appearance that first drew me to the Bengal breed.
Intelligent and endlessly curious, Mila is an explorer by nature. She loves climbing trees, going for walks with the huskies and investigating absolutely everything around her. She is also an expert at opening cupboards and doors — very little stays out of reach once Mila has decided she wants to know what's inside.
She embodies so much of what made me first fall in love with Bengals; without Mila, there may never have been Born Wild as it is today.

PAST & REMEMBERED
A place for those who have been part of the Born Wild journey — both those we have sadly lost and those who have since moved on to new homes and new adventures. Each has played a part in our story and will always remain part of the Born Wild family.
POLARIS ‘POLO’ (Fureverbuddys Panthera Polaris)
Polo came into my life when I was searching for a new sire to join our Bengal breeding programme alongside Mowgli. He had all of the genetic traits and qualities I had long-hoped to find, but it was the photographs of him as a kitten that made the decision so easy for me. There was just something about him — I knew immediately that he was a special little boy.
His full name was Panthera Polaris, affectionately shortened to Polo. Panthera is the scientific genus of the great cats, while Polaris is the North Star, chosen to reflect his pale, snow-leopard-like coat and cool northern presence.
But it was Polo's nature, far more than his appearance, that made him so special.
He was quite simply the sweetest and calmest kitten I have ever known. He loved nothing more than being close, whether snuggled up beside me, cuddled with Amara or curled up with Nova. He would follow me from room to room simply to stay nearby, and in such a short time he became a very loved little member of our family.
Sadly, from the time Polo came home, I had a feeling that something wasn't quite right. He struggled with gastrointestinal problems and, despite having a huge appetite and eating well, he wasn't gaining the weight that he should have been.
What followed was a long and difficult journey of trying to find an answer. Together with our vets, we explored everything we could — blood tests, ultrasound, abdominal fluid analysis, stool testing, dietary changes and supplements — while doing everything possible to support him.
Eventually, Polo developed a significant build-up of fluid within his abdomen. FIP was one of our immediate concerns, but testing was negative, leading us to investigate other possible underlying causes and pursue referral care. Tragically, despite everything we were doing for him, Polo continued to deteriorate and lose weight.
One evening, after fighting for so long, Polo passed away in my arms.
I was there as he took his final breath, with the animals he loved around him. Losing him affected me profoundly. I wanted more than anything to be able to save his sweet little soul, and accepting that I couldn't was incredibly difficult.
A post-mortem examination finally gave us the answer we had spent so long searching for: Polo had been born with a congenital deformity affecting the right side of his heart.
Polo was only given a very short time on this earth, but there is comfort in knowing that every bit of that time was filled with love. He knew warmth, cuddles and companionship. He never had to face his final moments alone.
I will always wish that I could have given him the long life he deserved, but I am incredibly grateful that, for the short life he was given, I got to be his person — and he got to know just how deeply he was loved.
